While the state of Nevada does not require owners of fifth wheels to have a separate policy because it is a non-motorized vehicle. An exception would be if your fifth wheel is being financed, you may be required to have comprehensive and collision coverage.

Your fifth wheel must be titled and registered with the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) to legally operate in the state.
Whenever your fifth wheel is being towed by your regular vehicle along public roads in NV, your vehicle’s insurance automatically provides liability coverage. The state requires that the vehicle responsible for towing the fifth wheel maintains an active policy that meets the minimum requirements for bodily injury per accident and per person, and property damage.
Insurance Options to Consider
If your fifth wheel causes damage to others, your vehicle insurance will be responsible for covering the damage, but it does not cover damage to the fifth wheel.
Your fifth wheel may not always be hitched to an insured towing vehicle. If your fifth wheel is parked separately from your vehicle at a campground or stored for the season, consider a separate policy to pay for any repairs.
There’s also the option of getting a policy that provides dedicated RV roadside assistance.
